Built because I wanted one.

I'm Seb. I started VALVD out of a garage in Brisbane because I was sick of my car deciding when I was allowed to enjoy it.

That's the whole thing, really. Modern performance cars come with valves in the exhaust the good sound is already in there, factory. But the car holds it back. Sport mode, above three grand, only when the computer says so. Roll out of your street at 7am and you get nothing. Sit in traffic in Sport and you annoy every person within a kilometre. You never get to choose.

I wanted to choose. Quiet past the neighbours, loud through the tunnel. Not because a drive mode allowed it, because I pressed a button.

Nothing on the market did that properly. It was either a generic module thats going to cost you an arm and a leg.. not to mention fucking around with wires and connecting, or a full aftermarket system for thousands that's loud all the time whether you want it or not.

So I built one.

It took months and a lot more money than I'd planned. Prototypes that didn't fit. Connectors that were wrong. Housings that cracked. Versions that worked on the bench and then did nothing under a car. I've got a drawer full of the ones that failed, and honestly they're the reason the current one works.

What VALVD actually is

A small module that sits between your factory wiring and your factory exhaust valve. Plug in, plug back, done. No tune, no cutting, no splicing, no check engine light. Unplug it and the car is exactly as it left the factory.

It doesn't make your car louder than it is. It reveals the sound it was already built in and then decided you weren't allowed to use. (if your car is stock)

How I do things

Every fitment is confirmed on a real actuator before it goes on the site. If I haven't proven it fits your car, I don't sell it to you, I'd rather lose the sale than send you something that doesn't plug in. That's what the fitment guarantee is: not marketing, just me not wanting to ship you a paperweight.
